I saw in the forum that you only had one comment so far, so I was thinking: let me go and explain my score= 4, because the average was also sub-5 (I am not going to change it)

The 4 was greatly influenced by the "not very interesting"-factor. Electricity poles and lines, a bit of foliage profile, a colored sky and a very bright spot. Don't get me wrong, I see the relation of the color of the sky and the powerlines resulting in the idea "Electric Sky" and I think it was good idea. It is just that it doesn't look very interesting to me. The photo is a subject an sich, the main subject in the photo is not very clear.

The sky looks like as if the color was changed to these blue tones. It doesn't look natural. The contrast between the bright spot and the dark foliage is also very big, to the point where the brightness gets annoying. Also because the bright spot is in the middle. Somehow I also get the feeling that the poles lean backwards, especially the one on the left side.
I do like the off-centre positioning of the poles, the profile of the foliage and how the lines lead trough the frame. But this photo is on my personal voting range for this challenge just not good enough. In a normal challenge it might have been between 5 and 6 depending on the subject of the challenge.
Good luck in 2005. ;)

Here I am again. Checked your porfolio. Take "Taste Wheat" for example. I would have given that one an 8.

Good capture, funny to see how the guy is checking her out via the mirror. :)

I like it despite all the blur.
The composition is pretty good with the pillars, the line of the square, the circle in the middle and her position in the scene. I like it how you captured the joy of dancing in the rain. Altough there is no rain visible, the reflections of the pillars tell that it is wet.
I give it a 7, sharpness and blurred raindrops might have made it a 9 or 10. But it can be hard to capture raindrops (slow shutter) and someone dancing (faster shutter). Yelling: "Hold that pose!" spoils the moment. :)

Her eyes are very powerful in this photo, she looks great despite the state of her hair and the dirt on her skin, that's the power of her eyes.

Cool portrait of this Rastafaria. I like it his pose, the light and the light in his eyes. The tone works really well. It is nice to see these telling objects in the background, like the portrait of Haile Selassie.

Everything in its own box. :)
Works well, I like the idea and setup (not that it necessarily is setup).
What I don't like is the yellow line in the border, it pulls the eye out of the photo. The scene might also work better with more shadows from a lightsource at the side.

I like it how the lines in the sky work with the lines on the ground. The mood and light is very pleasing, but I feel it misses an element to make it realy stand out. I means something like a hunter in the field, a tree or a house, a tractor or something like that. I do like the fence at the bottom. 8

Great composition with those shadows. The snow gives a nice balanced texture to make the crosses stand out really well. Good photo.

I like it how the stair stands out from the darkness byt the single lightsource. But overall the photo is too empty for me to give it a 10. Perhaps a bit closer in a square crop might work as well. 8

Wonderful how the light strikes the mill with that dark background. The best quality of light as well. The only downside of that darkness is that it is hard to judge the size of the windmill. Is it really large, like the standard Dutch windmills, or is it really small or garden sized? The only things that tell are perhaps the windows. Perhaps it sounds negative, but that is not how I mean it.
