1850by Fibre OptixComment: It is very clear and sharp for that time, but the person in this frame is what makes it work.
Interesting undistorted wide view, nice toning. A tie for third place for me. |

Sunset on fieldby letuananhComment: Simply excellent. Subject & light, is so good. The bits of mist make it work. You can just feel the start of a hard, but rewarding, day in the fields.
Graduated warming ND?

Apollo Rising by Keith ManiacComment: I like the naked feeling here because it makes it look like it could have been shot at the beginning of times. No one would argue if you said that this was youn Rameses having an encouter with Ra.

Illuminate by deapeeComment: Great idea!
Did you process it in 265 tone levels or something? The distinctions between the shades of light add to the rings feeling. Somehow Kiwiness, EddyG and Gordon come to mind, so good job!

Sent with Love, from Aboveby roadrunnerComment: My only 10 for this challenge. The pinkish tone is right between warm and cold, composition is great. I know that you can throw a kid up that high (I've been there, up high) so it might not be a true illussion, but I don't care.

You Can't Take It With Youby sherComment: Hi Sher, I am not going to vote on this challenge but saw that you entered this photo here.
I'll just copy & paste my pbase comment:
It's almost as if I'm looking at a city of skyscrapers.
A dead city.
Skyscrapers of the Death.
Sher, I love the way how you process your photographs. Besides that, many have content, something to tell. Pleasant compositions and iteresting contrasts.
I've said it before: Simple & Strong.
Please don't read the "Simple" wrong, perhaps it would be better phrased when I say "down to the core of the subject". Yes, that's it.
This photo, such strong contrast between the dark tree vs the bright monuments of the death. Very fitting. The sky brings a welcome break in the scene and is well placed in the composition.
Good luck, I hope you do well. I'd probalbly have given this a 7.5. :) |
