... Daydreamsby tonyvComment: Step away from the reel...go to the store...buy ANYTHING but a bait-casting reel! ;^) You have to either love em, or hate em.
Great concept for this challenge. Wonderful lighting and nice crisp focus. I'll bet you brought the beach inside for this one didn't you? He-he. That's cool. Well done. 9 |

Sharp Keysby psquared40Comment: Nice potential here...a little too dark to break an above avg score I'm afraid. |

A new beginningby ergoComment: Interesting take on the challenge theme. I like it. Do wish the paper was illuminated a little better. |

Boulevard of broken trucksby Rae-AnnComment: It's always interesting to see when more than 1 person runs across the same exact item to enter for a challenge (see Aged entry). ;^) For sure this is a compelling subject and fun to look at. This version has some issues with lighting as I find it a bit harsh (looks like flash was used). Too much of the subject in this seems to be the steering wheel. 4
Good luck in the challenge. |

Agedby HRoxasComment: It's always interesting to see when more than 1 person runs across the same exact item to enter for a challenge (see 'Boulevard of broken trucks' entry). ;^) For sure this is a compelling subject and fun to look at. The lighting in this version is much more appealing, natural and not harsh. Good job on bringing out the details inside the cab. This angle/composition works well as the building to the left has been eliminated and therefore the distraction removed. 7
Good luck in the challenge. |

All alone with my cold broken heartby cbonsallComment: All alone and reading a basic Java programming book? ;^) I like your interpretation of this photographic technique. Was this a sacrificial filter, or already on the way to the trash bin (of course you never really know when garbage-collection is going to get called)?
It's contrived, but should do well. Only thing (really!) that might hold this down some is your choice of textbook. He-he.
Good luck in the challenge. |

Beyond Repairby KaizerComment: Yikes! How did that happen? Hope the shooter is ok. As for the image, two things stand out to me that could make this a little better: Lighting (it's a little dark), and focus (well, maybe not...appears that the shotgun shells are worn in the red making them look fuzzy). Anyway, good luck in the challenge. |

Schnappedby owenComment: Double broken. Man and the guitar. Interesting. Based on the composition it appears that the man is the main subject. Would have liked to see (not sure how) the guitar head emphasized a little more. The positioning of items in the frame is good (bottle, man, guitar). Not a big fan of the grungy look but this should do ok for you.
Good luck in the challenge. |

Got to find a non-broken way!!!by armandusComment: Oh man, this is so cool. It took me a minute to find what appears to be the main subject (snail). Wish there was more light on the snail. As is, it is fairly camouflaged and not too visible.
Good luck in the challenge. |

going, going and goneby p2jvrComment: It's an interesting photo to look at with nice earthy tones, but I'm missing the connection to the challenge. What's broken? Looks like a person standing in the upper-middle left but can't tell what he/she is doing. Sorry for missing the point. :(
Good luck in the challenge. |
