Eden's Doorby fotodudeComment: This is very nice. I would have scored it at 6 or 7 in the first pass. I think that the hand could be less bright or at least have some texture visible - fingers seem too plastic this way. |

Simple Eleganceby ACheltonComment: I"ve heard about people spraying flowers with water to get pretty drops and reflections... but this is the first time I see this applied to a car!
Well, this is not just any CAR - 7. |

Uninhibited Triangle.by buzzrockComment: Nice take on the challenge. I like the softness of the photo. The little ding of light bounced off the earring is a little distracting, not much you could do in basic challenge to mitigate it however.

5:55 on 05/05/05 @ 25.5 degreesby benhurComment: Should have put the clock in a refrigerator for a couple of min... would have drained the battery, but it would have gotten rid of the "2"
Now, I'll subtract whole 2 points for the monitor showing up in the photo. This monitor is the difference here between a photo and a snapshot. It is a pity that you went through the effort to think about the shot, set up everything, and in the end show us the monitor with some junk underneath ...5. |

little lady in pinkby LevTComment: This one is very nice, and I am not impartial because I am very weak towards my own son & daughter. Any picture of cute kids has a start of 5 for me, and goes upwards from there. I would give this a 7. Challenge topic is here, although some might argue that she's looking at, not in.
I like the bokeh here, with the background just busy enough not to be boring monochromatic backdrop.
This one would have done in a ~6 range at DPC. |

Pollution never sleeps!by Moose101Comment: This was one of my picks for a ribbon (9). Reading other comments, I hope they did not lower their score because they thought that you were using filters... I had a couple of long exposure outtakes with f/22 - f/32 and I know that you can get this effect without filters. Moreover, I haven't seen star filters with 14 rays.
This photo, other than being technically sound, also had a strong message, which is the reason I bumped it UP.
Good luck in the future challenges. |

Span-Tastic by alanfreedComment: Congratulations on the blue! Did not have a chance to comment on it, and the only thing I would try to do differently in the future is take a shot without that stupid banner on the bridge - or just clone it out before you make it printable!
Very nice! |

May "Day" at Victory Squareby skiefComment: Immortal... I love the black sky color in this one - it contrasts well against the red letters and otherwise warm colors of the image. Given that the image is not necessarily symmetrical, you could have experimented with positioning the monument perhaps more to the right, to try to achieve more of the imbalance and thus increase the appeal of the total image.
I still like it very much: bumping up - 7. |
