I agree, Christophe. My point was against people who have claimed that basic photography does not stand a fair chance against advanced digital editing techniques. My point is that it is MUCH more about the idea and the execution, regardless of how you get there.

Oh for pete's sake, Richard - the score had WAYYY more to do with the fact that there are MANY photos of deer/elk/wildlife on DPC and nearly nothing to do with the editing. Look at the blue ribbon winner. Just because you think it meets the challenge doesn't mean everyanyone else does. ..."period".

eta: I forgot to end on a positive note: It is a really great photo of a newborn elk, I'll give you that. :)
