The white spot is blown out. The focus could be better. The composition is good, but I would like it better with a sharply focused focal point. I also see pixelation in this, did you crop a lot?
Sorry, but all in all I see this as an average photo, with a lot of room for improvement. I wouldn't complain about your score, you placed in the top half.

I agree with the scores on this one. I think the photo i took is a good one, however I didn't have the time do do the rest of the project. This was done as a test to see if I could remember how to get more then one image on a background( I'm not good at that yet). I wound up not having anymore time, so I submitted the practice one.
All your comments are quite accurate, not enough story telling here. I did, by the way, have other tulip shots that I could have used along with this one.
Oh well, next time I will get my homework done sooner!

Thanks for the comments. I just wanted to mention that this was a photo that I took on vacation in Las Vegas that week. It was not specifically taken for the contest. Lucky for me(I didn't have internet use out there) it so happened that the contests of that week fit in perfectly with the pictures I had taken(flora and fauna). I think I had others that might have done better, but I took so many photos(1000+)that I didn't have the time to go through all of them.

Great angle and sky colors here. A touch blown out on the whites, I would have toned down the white channel a touch. Nice composition, nice straight horizon( can you tell that I'm a perfectionist?).
