Interesting photo. The crashing wave in the background competes a bit with the flowers, but I'm not sure if I mind that. The overall story the photo tells is effective.

Nice shot. Love the flower but the background wave? is quite distracting.

Yes! I love it. I love images with a blurred out background ( which also has interesting elements). Jacko. Good luck. 10

I love this shot. Great use of shallow depth of field, and I like the color of the flowers.

You've chosen an excellent composition here and the shallow DOF really enhances the effectiveness, choice!

Wow, an interesting shot. Lots of things of interest here (love that burred surf), the picture is nevertheless harmonious and unified. Great colors. 8 Journey

Looks too stage although it is very beautiful. However, i know these flower would never be found here in nature. I'll still give you a good score.
-correction- still beautiful and now will give you a higher score for being ignorant of your flora!

Crashing wave in the background....nice touch. I bet that's no accident.

This is an amazing picture. Very beautiful. I wonder how it would look with the wave in focus. I give it a 9

Nice composition with a background which is identifiable but not a distraction. Nice lighting, focus. Very nice indeed.

Colors are wonderful and detail is good. The problem, though, is the crashing wave in the center of the picture, distracts from the flora.

You've captured wonderful light on these little blossoms: the sun seems warm and bright as it should at the beach, but the image doesn't seem washed out at all. Your skill with light is remarkable and it shows off well here. The crashing wave does distract just a tad, but when I see the delicacy and colors of the flowers that seem gentle and bold at the same time, all is forgiven.

Great colors. Wish the wave was more visible but then you would have had too much competition for your flower. Beautiful

Without the title, I'm not sure I could have figured out what that was in the background. Just a liiiiiiittle more focus there would have been nice. Not sure how you could do it without losing the flower, though.

I love the sharpness of the foreground, but I whatever that is in the background is a little distracting.

Like a relic of my youth, from an old beachcomber who grew up near Pacifica, California and saw these flowers often near the coast, iceplant...

This is SOOO pretty... the DOF really makes the photo here... good use of rule of thirds... love the clarity of the flowers, and because their purple thats the first thing that catches your eyes... This looks like a photo of a flower pasted onto a painting. It's really great... solid 10 from me! Hope it does well!

Great shot with the waves blurred in the background. Good lighting with nice contrast. I think the skyline is a little off level, though.

Lovely colour and light in the foreground. A tight crop on the flower would have helped this alot.
