It was pretty windy out. I was using my only lens, 28-135 IS. I walked around my neighborhood and just walked right into peoples yards to take pictures of their tulips. I think this one came out pretty good.

Nice composition. The way the stems curve is very effective, a lot more interesting than some of the straight up and down shots I've seen. I get a bit put off by the green stems on a green grass background though. It brings out the red of the petals well, but it doesn't feel asthetically pleasing.

Nice soft colors, good job with the reds, good DOF use. I would like a bit more room on the right though.

Very nice - tulips are my favorite flower and I really like your composition and colors. Good job.

Lovely, muted shot. Like the economy of colors here and the muted tones. Effective diagonal composition. Dreamlike. 8 Journey Final score: 9

excellent work with the diagonal composition.. the red looks a tad oversaturated... reds give me a fit on my camera too :( - setzler

I like the angle from which this was taken. It's not the same ol' thing.

Beautiful, especially the way you've highlighted the flowers wit the shallow DOF. This is very good!

Nice angles and colors. The flowi-ness (my own technical term) of the leaves adds a lot to this. Nice background, too.

the red petals are made very vivid against the soft green of the out-of-focus grass, and the stems stand out because of their sharpness and smoothness. Nice left to right, bottom to top direction.
