This is just beautiful. The definition is outstanding. I really love the reflections of his feathers on his face, particularly through his eye! Great definition on his beak. It makes this image so alive.Love the blurred background and its color. Good photographic eye and a good camera! Gosh, what a handsome guy. You probably found my comment harsh and attributed that to my usual undiplomatic bluntness but i just want to say it was very deliberate. I relished making the comment [evil grin]. The title lead me to believe it was shot with either an EOS D60 or with a 10D (although i probably might have suspected that anyway). And i find it only fair to hold that dslr crowd to a much, much higher standard! Too bad about the distractions because the colors of that sky are just extraordinary!

I feel this image too is way underrated. Granted the scene it depicts is rather "snapshotty" (well, heck, you took it from a parking lot) but the weather effect is great due to all the distortions. And rather than the image being depressing, it has a playful, fun appearance. I really liked it!

I really liked this image and it seems way underrated. That's probably because some voters didn't feel it met the challenge closely enough. However, looking at it you're pretty aware of the intensity of the sun :)

Congrats on a really great image. Now i can't wait to see your G3 productions :) I can't understand that you got some criticism on the grain; it was so necessary here. And i for one liked that there was so little silhouette; it just underscored the drama.

Magnetic, you dirty rat, i feel cheated! lol. I really assumed that this was shot in Baghdad and that intrigued me a great deal. But no, you were just playing some lousy photojournalism tricks with a catchy title and it was just a shot of a local run of the mill mosque. Oh, come on! :) I hope you realize i'm just giving you a rough time. It IS a beautiful image and it grows on me.

I always get a big kick out of these particular clouds with the light just gushing out. And you captured it quite well. As a result, the lighting on the trees rather suffered and it rendered their shapes rather unappealing; so little of the trees showing too. Good effort. 5 Journey

Endearing portrait. And that's coming from someone who normally doesn't care much about pictures of children! I like how the child intently contemplates the daisy it's playing with. Like the setting of the image as well with the joyous abundance of daisies. Two nitpicks: the light on the right arm seems off and a little washed out; and too bad the yellow flower growing out of its head.7 Journey
