17 and Friskyby jab119Comment: I find the background shadow to be a very good idea. Was it done with a mirror of sort? Lighting is a bit strong for the cat's dark colour, but does bring out the eyes (which are rather wierd i must say). Composition could've been a little tighter. DOF works well. 6 |

Mr. Prissby bruskiComment: Good composition and colour tone. The eyes are nice and bright as well. DOF could've been a little sharper, as it tens to bring the front part of the cat into blurry-land. Lighting is a bit lacking as well, as the sparks in the cat's eyes are not sharp (something very looked after). Nice background colour which mix well with the cat's fur. Lower Left part of the picture bugs me a little bit tho. 5 |

Tyger! Tyger! Burning Bright...by Moose101Comment: Nice composition. COlours are good. Unfortunatly, the DOF is a bit off and doesn't give the furball enought credit. Also the background's colour (or lack of) is a bit dull as it blends too much with the cat. A tiny bit more sharpness would help as well. cheers, 5 |

Guardian in the Sun by chuckComment: Very pretty duo you've got there! Its the first time i see a cat with a fur like that. Beautiful. I like the simple composition of this shot. Its peaceful, and with both animals relaxed, it gives a very friendly and calm mood. Colours are rich as well, which gives some warmth to the shot. I find the carpet a bit distracting with the dark background, separating the pic in a wierd fashion. A little bit more lighting on the animal's left part of the face could've helped slightly, as they seem to be drawn out of the pic. I really like it, good work! 7 |

Potterby jmsetzlerComment: Love the composition of this shot. Its very narrow, which brings out the eyes; the frame helps too. DOF is quite interesting. Someone i would've wished not to see the bottom left portion of the shot which is not in focus, but seems to use a little too much of the pic and catches my eyes everytime. Would also've wished for a tiny bit more of those hears. 7 |

The Guardby peeteComment: Very dramatic lighting. LOving the composition as well. Honestly, i can't find much i don't like about this picture, aside perharps from skulls upper extremity, which appears slightly blurred or simply a tiny bit out of focus. I believe a frame of sort would do some good as well. 9 |

Magical Moment of a Puppy at Playby MontereykiddoComment: Very nice lighting on the sunset. Its a bit of shame that the dog is not better lit; that's where a mounted flash helps quite a lot. Colours are rich and vibrant. Composition is missing something. Perharps to the fact that its a little off 'cause of the tail. I also find myself wanting to see more of the reflection. Nice work ! 7 |

Stanley by ChasSourekComment: Beautiful Composition. This picture screams "Publicity". I find the colours slightly 'off' and i believe the portrait could've used a little bit more sharpening. Lightning is very nice, but appears a tiny bit washed out on the neck and cheek. Could be my monitor tho. Very cool expression Stanley has. Also love the symetry of the hears with the rest of the shot. Frame is perharps a little too big, but works in enclosing the portrait. Very likable! 8 |

Miss Chipsby graphicfunkComment: Very Sharp! The Cat's pose is very nice, almost glamourous, like on a fashionshow ramp. Colour tones are very nice, giving those green eyes plenty of space to 'bloom' their way to the audiance. The fur is very well lit, which gives very good texture to the shoot. Two things i'm not too fond of tho; the composition is odd to me. I understand the vertical crop, but somehow, i find the belly cut a bit 'out of character' for a cat, especially since i think we see the begining of the rear right leg. Other thing i'm not too fond of is the 'floor' / 'wall' set. The two tones in colours clash a little bit too much for my taste. Overall, very nice, sharp and colourful. Nice youngster cat as well! Must be evil at best ;) 8 |
