I agree that you were robbed. People must have "penalized" you for not showing something cute and fluffy, instead of judging this superb photograph. Ggggrrrrrrrr at them.

I don't know how you missed top 10, but only by one..This shot was superb: the lighting, the subject and the use of the skull make it look like something out of Shakespeare..congratulations! Thanks for the outtakes..I like the one coming in one eye and out the other..looks like a poster for a movie.

This should have placed. This was one of two 10's that I gave....I figured since it didn't have the 'cuddly' effect to it that it might score low....again I'm not a big snake fan...but this is an awesome picture in my opinion! :)

Very dramatic lighting. LOving the composition as well. Honestly, i can't find much i don't like about this picture, aside perharps from skulls upper extremity, which appears slightly blurred or simply a tiny bit out of focus. I believe a frame of sort would do some good as well. 9

Astounding... I am keeping a safe distance for fear it will strike. Wonderful background, fantastic use of a prop, and a truly wonderful photo. I have nothing but laudable comments for your submission, as it is truly a work of art.

OK, I hate snakes more than anything you can imagine, but yet even I like this shot, very nicely done, love the lighting, only thing I wish the snake was looking a tad more this way. Nice work. 8

This is my second go-around =) - I think he's been guarding his owner for too long now =) haha. Excellent lighting!!! I am not crazy about snakes or skulls, but I do love the quality of this photograph and the composition. Excellent job!

Beautiful snake. Love the colors and the textures, and you've framed this very nicely. The skull is a really great prop. That black background just makes all the colors really pop too. I used to own a 13 foot Burmese so I have a soft spot for snakes.
