Title seems a little hard on these guys. I would also consider the photo more successful if I could gain some insight on what they are working on. This is a little more candid "guys at work". I am voting largely quality this week and taking the challenge largely for granted. 5 nards656

One step to the left would have made this a whole point better for me. I think a polarizer would have helped to. While I'm sure the kids were out of your control, catching them in a more reverent moment would have improved the mood. 6 nards656

Hmmm. I can't decide if I like the green or not, but the foreground being flashed/washed out does bother me. A little toning down on the brightness and pumping up the contrast would probably have been good. 7 nards656

Some animal life would have really helped this, even though it might have required tremendous patience. Maybe a heron. Maybe even some hunters or something. 5 nards656

Aw, and then those dang power lines showed up :-) I like the fact that you tell a story, but it's a sad story that says this... "This church has been here a long time and has gradually died off. The shadows are long at the end of its day, and the skies are cloudy because it sees no hope of tomorrow." Is that the right story? :-)

Boy, you had to be waiting on this one! I like how you captured a truly rare moment. The bad part is that the focus of the picture is the mountains, in a way. 7 nards656

For some reason circumventing the rules in this fashion bothers me, but I'm not screaming about it because I suspect you are totally legal. This just strikes me as magazine COVER, not as a shot for the cover. It's cute in its own way. 5 nards656

Good subject, but the flash leaves some things too bright and some too dark. I also think I would have cropped out some of the foreground clutter that doesn't add anything to the shot. 6 nards656
