Breaking Through - WK08by DJWoodwardComment: I can't believe you didn't love this right off. I love it! It has such simple lines for a landscape -- and such a dramatic sky. What else do you need for a stunning photograph! I'm sure glad you shared it with us. It definitely resonates with me!

Southwark (Week 8)by booboo_goonComment: I like this type of imagery too. I haven't learned yet to "see it" so much when I'm out shooting, so I'm always so fascinated when someone turns up with something like this -- so artistic -- so beautifully processed, and I think, "Why don't I see such cool art in subjects like this when I'm out shooting" Great job.

black-and-white-week-8.jpgby LanndonKaneComment: I like it! I love everything about how you did this. The great use of negative space, and I like it that the bottles don't go all the way to the other side. I might like them all perfectly straight -- but they look great like they are too. They kind of give the feel that they were all drank by the same person, one right after the other :)
Very cool photo!

8.52 Seeing them offby MelethiaComment: Did you get something better? It must be good then. This is great. One of my favorite kind of looks in photography: urban, darkish, slice of life -- but in a different life than the one I live in. Maybe that's why I like it so much :) For me, the guy walking his dog just makes it. I love the mood.

Week 08 - Mistby hajekaComment: I don't either think its disturbing. I think it rather adds to the eerie look with the fog. I love the photo alot! The fog and the grain gives it kind of a nostalgic look. My favorite kind of look :)

Prada Building - Tokyoby kolasiComment: What an interesting building! At first I thought I didn't have time to check out the architects on your link.. . until I saw your amazing photo. Now I want to go see more of their stuff.
Great job -- and a very beautiful subject for a black and white photo.

Wk_7_B&W_Cuyamaca State Parkby twmaxComment: Tom! This is BEAUTIFUL! It looks like you DID use a small aperture. I can't believe you got this kind of depth of field with an F4!! But I love the hint of softness in the grasses and hillside. I don't think I'd bemoan not using a smaller aperture too much, because this looks stunning just like it is. One of my favorites of the day for sure!

_DSC2790095a.jpgby WalesPComment: What a stunning bridge! We really need to have another Austing GTG. Jutilda and I have been trying to find a good weekend to get together again. I love coming to Austin to take pictures. There's so many good subjects. I've never seen the bats, but I for SURE will make that a must when its summer. About when would be the best time to go? Are there tons of people always there taking pictures or watching?
Great photo here!
