Natural Cathedralby charliebakerComment: Well I was impressed by the processing on this before I looked at the original - but sheesh - that's some serious ps wizardry. Great composition too. Well done, congrats ont he great score. |

Engagedby PedroComment: Man, I'm more than a little surprised to see this down here. I gave this a nine and had it pegged for fourth place (which is, incidentally, higher than I thought the eventual winner would end up).
Along with Heida's shot (which is somewhere in the 30's) this was clearly the most underrated image of the challenge. I guess sometimes you just can't pick em. |

Smokeby grandmarginalComment: Now that's a funky effect!
I clearly need to get my head around photoshop a little better. |

Think about itby heidaComment: I had this picked to be in the top five - so I have to say I'm a little surprised to see it down here. Still it's not a bad score (at least for most of us :P!). Hehehe. Keep 'em coming Heida. |

say no evil...by frumoazniculComment: I figured this one was either yours, or jj's. I think that says a lot about it's quality. Great work again. |

Pay Back Taxesby GeneralEComment: hehehe, gave this a ten - nice crisp image coupled with a great title made me laugh (one of the most important criterion I figure!). |

String of A'sby sir_bazzComment: G'day bazz, well spotted, a really simple idea, that most people would definately miss. You keep going in this direction and I'm pretty sure you'll have your fair share of space on that istDS page in no time :P.

I Am People, I Am Myselfby ArtysteComment: Sheesh - in between the baseball cap and the camera, you look like a celebrity trying to hide their identity :P.
Funnily enough I find the backwards writing on the cap a little disconcerting - other than that this is definately better than the average photog with a mirror shot, I like the framing effect given by that table or whatever it is on the bottom.
Now put that fuji someplace it can gather the requisite layer of dust and get on board with team pentax.
Edit: Would you look at that - you just became the 1000th recipient of one of my comments. Now sure 980 of them were probably of little use to anyone :), but I think it's an occasion worth marking all the same. Message edited by author 2005-04-25 05:05:06. |
