Hot Tapby redmoonComment: this is an interesting image, but the shallow dof that is not really equating to bokeh. i still like the image, and am adding it to my favorites, but am not finding it a good challenge entry. |

Cell Towerby melsterComment: sorry, but what you have here is a close up with a shallow dof, and that does not equate to bokeh. this may work as a stock shot, but definitely not for this challenge. |

Icy Winter Berriesby KaDiComment: this is an interesting image, but lacking any real sharpness. the bokeh is nice, but not enough to compensate for all the oof subject matter. |

Dragon Fireby NeoScalesComment: very wild image! this is one of the most memorable images i've seen, just because of the colors. great detail. not thrilled about how centered the eye is (and that looks like something that could be strengthened by some judicious cropping). all in all, i'll be surprised if this doesn't wind up on the front page! good luck! |

Cold rustby BoltiComment: yes, this makes me feel cold! from the looks of things, you probably would have had a stronger challenge entry if you had adjusted your angle slightly and cropped in on the center part of the post. you are on the right track, just keep on working with it! |

Pistil and Stamenby umbrisComment: nice image, good detail. little too much negative space on the right. love the colors. nice bokeh in support of your subject. good work! |

Mooooo...n Riseby dacrazyrnComment: very clever image. really wild bokeh here, as well. you probably could have titled it "ham-bo-ker" |

a mind all logic is like a knife all bladeby mocabelaComment: and you are appealing to my artistic side here (as opposed to my logical side...)?
this is an interesting composition, if a bit busy in the background. not really getting a feel for the relationship between your bokeh and the subject. as for the subject, without the title, i would have no clue as to what i was looking at (well, maybe i'd guess a saw blade, but i'd still be wondering what is going on in the background). you have proven that you can achieve bokeh, now you need to put it to work, to make it contribute to your images, rather than detract from them. sorry if this is harsh, but that's how i'm seeing your image. |
