excellent work! what fun! the composition, expression, and colors all work well together. too bad about the hat taking the brunt of the lighting, because the range of tonalities elsewhere are wonderful.

this is about as an honest a portrait as one could ask for. good job. the composition, expression, focus, and lighting all work well. i hope i can manage this much control when i take my turn.

very clever idea, definitely one of the more interesting submissions i've run across. i feel, though, the lighting is a bit too strong in some area, creating too much contrast between the near blowouts and the black background. all the same, this is something i definitely would like to try. thanks for the idea! 8 from me.

interesting composition. the lighting gets your point across, pretty much the same way you would if you were holding up a convenience store (in that you really don't anyone to know just who you are).

you have chosen a unique perspective to portray yourself. in most situations, i would complain about the lighting washing out the details and character, but i can see that is what you are after: good job! the overall composition and expression work well. this is a good example of recognizing what you are after before shooting, and then following through on the execution. 8 from me.

this is very, very clever, almost dali-esque. i like most everything about the image except for your treatment of the foreground and the background: the terrycloth picks up too much detail, and the wrinkles in the background come through too much. other than that, this is a shot i would like to attempt, myself. thanks for an interesting twist on the challenge!

nice work. the focus, composition, pose, and expression all work well. the lighting is a bit strong, washing out a lot of the tonality and character in your face. the cropping works extremely well.

interesting and bold submission, definitely not something i would have consider. as such, i'm as much in wonder of who you are as to what you want to convey in an image as this. the range of light and color is very interesting, as well.

nice work. the lighting, composition, pose, and expression all come together. the only real nit i have here is the cd pack--it's just not background enough to keep from detracting. really enjoy the range of tonalities across the image.
