JPEG compression a bit too harsh I'm afraid. There are unsightly artifacts introduced by the compression settings when you saved this file.

I think this is adequately meets the challenge requirements. Technical deficits unfortunately detract from this photo.

Lacks fine detail. Appears to have been sharpened too zealously evidenced by strong halos around the edge details. I think you chose an interesting way to represent wind in this photo, and to your credit, it was a creative attempt. Unfortunately the execution was hampered by technical deficits.

No reason to submit such a small photograph. Please remember that a larger photo (between 600-640 pixels on the long edge) equates to more detail and a better chance for an encouraging score.

This one appears to look overprocessed evident by the strong halos and lack of fine details arond the waves.

The biggest fault in this picture is the submission size. There is no reason to submit anything smaller than 600 pixels on the long edge. Otherwise, I think the smoke contrasts nicely with the silhouette and this is appropriate for the challenge theme.

Too much post processing on this one. Gives the image a rather unappealing undetailed, plastered apearance. This image fits the challenge theme well however. It's just crippled by technical issues.

Ah, this is a beautiful capture. I think the smaller windmill is a nice counterpoint to the foreground. Person on the steps is unfortunately distracting. Same with the metal housing/cabinet in the lower left edge. I feel that you could have improved the color saturation by selectively boosting the cyans/blues, and greens. A dehazing step with an unsharp mask could also liven up the picture somewhat. Overall a pleasing entry.

I'd like to add a comment which you may find useful. I think you have quite an interesting entry. There are a few details which detract from this image, however. First, there is a lot of blue fringing created by an inferior lens on what I suspect to be a consumer digicam that can't quite deliver crisp, clean photos. Ultimately, this is somewhat beyond your control, and I will not be too harsh for this reason. Along the same lines, there is an obvious lack of fine detail in the leaves, lines, branches, and wooden bird. Again this is probably somewhat of a limitation of your camera. I think there's some post processing effects as well, and as you grow more confident in your skills, your images should blossom. I'm learning too, it's a fun, and fascinating hobby. :)

I really like the composition. Fits the challenge theme excellently.

Technical aspects a little weak, unfortunately since there is a significant amount of flare and noise. The overall detail seems to be a little soft. Still, if I squint my eyes and view from afar, I am breathtaken by this vantage. Well done on artistic merits.

Suggestion: use bicubic resizing. Several programs can do this. Resizing artifacts are too predominant.
