A nice, simple photo against a great-colored sky. There is a lot of jpeg artifacting around the edges of the branches, which makes them lose a little of their sharpness. If this could be sharper, this would be an excellent image. Probably very effective in b/w too, even though that's not the point of the challenge. muckpond

A great idea and I love the off-centeredness (is that a word?) The bluish cast on the white walls is unfortunate, as is the harsh lighting on the wall. Still, overall a great picture that is perfect for the challenge. muckpond

I like the stopped-motion feel of this shot. Cropping out the lights would allow more focus on what's happening on the field -- they are pretty distracting and lead the eye away from the action. muckpond

The poor bird in the background had his head chopped off. This is a great photo, but it should have either incorporated all of both birds or just the foreground one. I like the "looking-down" angle. muckpond

I hope this wasn't a setup shot! LOL! Way to be at the right plast at the right time. The reflection of the fire engine in the roof of the truck is pretty powerful imagery as well, although it would probably be overlooked in a newspaper or magazine shot. Great job! muckpond
