this is a flag-football league just a few blocks from my house - i never knew it was there until i was drving by and stopped to shoot this -- in hindsight, the consensus to crop the lights out is probably correct; however, i like the guy on the right, so i'd have to get rid of a few of the guys on the left - bye, guys! |

Nice photo!I like the motion blur which shows... well the motion ;-) I would have tried to crop a bit ore from the top of the photo to get rid of the empty space. It's not the lamps which I dislike (first thought was that they distract from the photo but they do not. I think they add to the atmosphere). It's the empty space between the players and the lamps which I don't like. Maybe if you would have crouched a little that would have been better because the players in the foreground would fill the empty space. Just a suggestion. -stephan |

I think this shot has potential....move in closer so we could see the 'action' better, and at the same time eliminate the bright lights at the top...also, ask buddy in front of you to move over to the right so he's not in the photo :) Nice capture of action, though |

Good action shot. Night looks heavy and hazy. Good composition and nice execution. Nice job. PTL7 |

I like the combo of moving and still subjects, lighting, and composition, although maybe not headline material?? |

In my opinion, cropping out the top part of the picture so that the lights didn't show would be more effective. Also (and I don't know if this would be possible at all), if you could have focused on just one or two players instead of so much of the field. Good focus for an obviously low light situation! karmat |

I like the stopped-motion feel of this shot. Cropping out the lights would allow more focus on what's happening on the field -- they are pretty distracting and lead the eye away from the action. muckpond |

Boy was your shutter speed slow. Evan the guy on the sidelines who is not moving is blurry. |

I like the mix of still players and players in motion. jacko 8 |

Those lights in the background are a bit distracting, you might try cropping them out and seeing how it looks. Also there isn̢۪t any strong focal point for me in this one. Maybe if you zoomed in on one or two players it might be better?

Great action and lots of drama. Shame about the exposure, but thats NOTthe big issue in this challenge. Good job! |

Good subject, however a photojournalist would try to focus on one - three subjects, and bring them more into the picture... It's tough to take low-light football, nice try! |
