This could be a bit clearer I think. Too bad the other goose's head is cut off...

very nice too bad the goose in the background beheaded

That is one of the most beautiful shots of this duck that I have ever seen, but bad execution of the picture. You really should have taken it at another time or angle so you only had this one bird in the shot, with or without the lake behind him. If you couldn't get that you should have left the whole duck in the background. You cut his head off. If it was for size you could have cut some off in front of the big bird - anything to keep from cutting the head off. Preferably, without the other one at all, unless it was the other sex and would have shown the differences in their heads. Sorry that you ruined a really great top notch photo. I'd like to copy it and cut the other bird out totally, with dpc unacceptable work. Any objection, other than to my score of 6. PTL

Very nice, except for the goose in the background

Composition problem with one goose "directly on top" of the other.

I wish you had been able to get the entire head of the back goose into the shot. Otherwise, it's a very nice photo. Clarity and focus are both nice. Lighting might be just a tad harsh on the front gooses neck, and the back goose, near the water. Nice shot. good luck in the challenge. ~Heather~

Esta muy bien enfocada, tienes un angulo de vision extremadamente bueno, y lo unico que no me agrado mucho fue el fondo.

If only that second goose would have cooperated by moving out of the picture. Nice crisp image. JEM

Would have liked to see more depth to the pic. It's pretty flat, and the pooped on concrete isn't really an appealing background. Is this PJ? I don't really know, but I'm not voting on that this week. Quality only, and you get a 5. Good luck in the challenge! nards656

The poor bird in the background had his head chopped off. This is a great photo, but it should have either incorporated all of both birds or just the foreground one. I like the "looking-down" angle. muckpond

It is a pity that the duck in the background has lost his head otherwise very good

The duck in the background really shouldn't have its head cut like that.

Shame the one at the top, lost his head!

awesome birds. cool stuff.
11/26/2002 09:23:00 AM
Should have shoved the other duck out the way :)

Ok I am lost.

super keen duck shot.. just not sure that it meets the "impact of the moment" stated in the challenge.....

The headless duck in the background spoils this somewhat. Much patience is needed to get the right framing with wildlife.

Nice perspective! I wish there was a little less ground in the foreground and that the back goose̢۪s head wasn̢۪t cut off.

I don't like the duck in the background with his head chopped off. Good exposure.

This image would be much better if it used a more dramatic (lower) angle.

a good closeup but the other goose behind really confused the background

IMO the relationship between the title and picture are key elements in this challenge. To the average reader, What does CANON mean to them?

Very nice shot, it is unfortunate that the other goose is there with his head cut off though. It really distracts from the front goose. DPz
