Hiby owenComment: Amazing. If I hadn't read your description of how you got the shot, I would not have believed this to be possible! Simply amazing. Congrats on your score. |

A. F. & G.by carodaniComment: I don't know what the conspiracy is, or what AF&G stand for, but I like the image. :-) |

Played to Shredsby shadeeuaComment: At first I thought the picture was blurry, until I noticed the sharp focus on the end of the violin. After noticing that, I think it was probably done on purpose and I would congratulate you on the DOF. But... for my own personal taste, I just don't agree with the idea. I would be far more interested in seeing the girls eyes in focus (and not covered by the bow) and then allow the violin to move out of focus due to DOF. I give you points for your creative use of DOF. Just not as much as if I agreed more with the application. Hope that makes sense. |

Soaring Skywardby Dr.ConfuserComment: I expected a lot of "looking up at the building" shots. Some of what I've seen I haven't really cared for all that much. I really like this one though. I think what makes it different are the many patterns within the image. Like the almost "ladder-like steps" leading straight up the middle. The circles with spokes at the top. The v-shaped lines leading from the sides inward. All of these patterns work well to bring your eyes right into the picture. Well done! |

Brothers in a Boxby reificationComment: Is there distortion in the image? The boy on the right looks like his head has been distorted up and to the right of the image. The boy in the middle ... not as bad, but similar effect. Almost like the opposite of a fisheye distortion (except that the lines in the box don't appear to be bowed). Is it just me??? |
