A very striking image. I would normally complain about the centered image - but since you 've placed the person on the left edge, it's not a problem at all! The sky is great and your choices for selective desat are excellent.

A very compellling child - and nice portrait. The whitest, brightest areas on both sides at the top compete for attention - which is unfortunate. It's a very good example of selective desat.

Composition is right on as is the exposure. Althought it's not that visually interesting to me - the desolation of the scene makes me keep looking. A strong submission.

I love the idea here! It's one of the most intriguing uses of selective desat in the group. It is also appropriate that you put the farmland in green and the city in grayscales. Exposure right on, composition ok (but i'd prefer the river - and therefore the entire scene -a bit more diagonal.) This should finish within sight of ribbonsville.
