I like the subject of the kiwi, but the finger seems out of place, maybe should have used something else to stand it up...

Good Job except for the halo. I only noticed it because it's around the thumb too.

Nice try. You have a piece of colorful kiwi fruit dead center in the middle of the picture. Nice colors and fine focus on the fruit - the thumb is not in focus and a distractant. The kiwi is obviously the main subject. Desaturating the finger does not enhance the fruit, and, there is no backgroud to desaturate. Rather then making the piece of fruit stand out the greyscaled fingers just make it look a bit odd. Anything, other slices of fruit, other whole fruits, anything in the background that was also desaturated would have helped.

A nice macro that does indeed show selective desat. It doesn't really grab me though.

I love this photo! Definitely my pick for a ribbon. The detail and focus is great and your use of desaturation perfectly emphasizes the main subject. ....I give a 9

I know it wouldn't have worked otherwise, but I do find it a pity that your fingers are showing. The green is splashing though!

This is a great idea for the challenge. Although, I think you should have found a way to prop the slice without having the fingers in the shot. I think the color is great but a bit disappointed with the fingers.

This is actually a pretty nice shot compared to some of the others. I'm sure it will do nicely. Its just a bit boring. It covers the challenge well, but. . .it's just boring. Nice work.
