Surprisiumby posthumousComment: All the challenges as I see it has three factors as DPC describes it: the challenge theme itself, the photo should be creative and the photo should be interesting. You may have failed on the challenge part but you scored very well on the most important parts which is to make a nice photo.
It's exciting, mystic and makes me think who she she is and what she is doing there.
I love it. Even the reflection in the glass of the tree/forest is appropriate but it's unfortunate that the cars (looks like two) was there. But I guess it they weren't yours to move or you would've done it.
Well done!! |

[Au] for [Hu]by FocusPointComment: Somehow I wish it was sharper. But then again not... very hard to tell. I do like the soft focus on this a lot and I love the gold head band and fur. The catch light in the eyes turned out excellent.
Skin tones and lighting is perfect and the make-up job itself deserves kudos. And needless to say; the model is stunning!
Very well done!! |

Titaniumby bspurgeonComment: A watch is never very interesting to me as a photo unless it's in an advertisement. But the dark features and the way you got the little hand with its shadow to stick out makes it very interesting.
I don't mind this at all. Great effort! |

Hydrogen Gas via Electrolysisby OdysseyF22Comment: I agree with the title and it is a great idea. It's just not IMO a good looking photo. Who wants to look at a battery? But I understand you had to have it there in order to prove your point...
It would have been somewhat better to me if at least the pencil had been in focus. |

The Midas Touchby karmatComment: Very nice. No sense to comment too much about the technical aspects (lighting, diagonal etc.) as it is all good. This photo makes me wonder what else is happening with this person and who he is with.
One of the better ones so far in this challenge |

- O - by crabappl3Comment: What a great image - regardless how it was done! Very creative and looks like a million bucks.
Perfect balance - excellent lighting - but most of all something interesting and pleasing to look at. The frame is tastefully done.
Now this is an image I easily would have on the wall in my house. |

Al for Aluminum by AmeedEl-GhoulComment: Not very pleasing to my eye but sharp. Too busy and I just don't see the photographic value in this.
To produce a sharp picture in this day and age is just not too hard with even el-cheapo snap shot cameras with built in IS and 10MP. We (including myself) really have to learn taking pictures that conveys something else than the objects by them selves - as long as their not intended for stock photography of course. |
