Blackby lovethelightComment: This whole series is amazing, but this is one of my favorites. I love the highlights and detail in her hair, and the eyes are indcredible!! |

03B - Heron #2by ErikVComment: I like both of these images. This one is particularly interesting because of the added shapes provided by the ripples. It is also interesting to note the difference between the angles of the heron's neck above the water and the reflection. It's almost as if they are in different points in time. |

SMC-swimming-2008-051.jpgby cryanComment: Excellent capture! It is frustrating to shoot in poorly lighted venues, but you have managed to capture the essence of this swimmer's power and drive to win. |

2-nov 08 slice of life. computer malfunctionby rozComment: Oh, this just says it all. The dark tones and his expression (as well as the broken glass) add to the mystery and angst of the situation. I totally empathize.
The motherboard on my old computer died three weeks ago, and it was an anxious time waiting to see if my data could be recovered, and finding out that while my files were recoverable, my programs weren't. I now have a new (early Christmas present from my sweet husband) computer which is bigger, faster, and has more whistles and bells than the old one, but is requiring a bit of a learning curve on my part (which explains why I am still up at 4 a.m. - no, it's really 3 a.m. because of the time change). Photoshop is much easier with 4 gb of ram than with 556 mb.
Good luck with your new and improved machine. |

Day 01 - 3.5by KenComment: Beautiful clock tower! The detail in the stones and in the roof tiles is amazing.
I don't understand why they needed to keep your driver's license. Here, the early voting ended yesterday (Friday). We signed in and showed our driver's licenses, but they just looked at them and verified our signatures. They didn't even taken them from us. With so much identify theft, I would be very reluctant to leave my license. I think a complaint to the election officer is in order. |
