sophisticatedby hopperComment: The lighting, focus, and color in this portrait are all fine, but I don't particularly care for the pose and the dead-on center composition. Her hands are in a bit of an awkward pose, and they are casting a shadow across her chin. You are on the right track, however. Good effort. :o) PS...had to add that I just figured out she is holding something...a book perhaps? It would look less awkward if it were more visible IMHO. :o) |

Black & White on Colorby DJLubaComment: Nice job on this one. I am a bit distracted by the dark area in the top left, but aside from that, beautifully done. Maybe a tad too much gaussian blur, but not enough to sway my opinion. :o) |

Photographers portraitby birgirComment: I love this one...the background is fabulous and interesting without being a distraction, and the pose is great as well. I do wish the left knee weren't cut off, but aside from that, it's great. Model is very striking...kinda wish he was smiling a bit more, but that serious look is fitting as well. :o) |

Captain George Highlighted.by graphicfunkComment: This is a near-perfect portrait, IMHO. Lighting is excellent, pose is great, focus, color, etc. is simply well done. A very distinguished looking gentleman, too! Great effort. :o) |

Going to the Chapelby crabappl3Comment: Gorgeous photo...love the soft focus. I do find her gaze a bit distracting, as I wonder what she's looking at rather than the camera. Beautiful lighting. :o) |

King Bondoby trying2bstillComment: I really like this portrait...the setting is great. The pose appears natural, and I like the "smirk" kind of grin rather than a posed smile. Well done. :o) |

Kateby BobsterLobsterComment: I have to be honest and say that I have mixed emotions about this shot. The lighting and soft focus are beautiful, but I am confused about the implied nudity of what appears to be a rather young woman...and that is a bit off-putting. I could be way off base, and she could very well be a grown woman, but she does look rather youthful. Aside from that, it is a visually interesting portrait. |
