No, it's not me. I don't have a little girl, either... so I was just on the outside looking in. This was at the Plano Balloon Festival at their petting zoo. I have been making myself take more and more candids of people, and this one I thought represented touch in a really neat way. Thanks for all your votes and comments!!!! :o)

I love the b/w conversion on this. The tones are fabulous! I also really like the close crop. Excellent texture and depth. Dunno 'bout the rest of the voters (since I'm a little different than most) but I think you hit a home run with this one. You'll have to humor me and let me know if this is whose I think it is. I'm adding this one to my faves right now. :o)

Calm Before the Storm

I knew going into this challenge that this would be a "love it" or "hate it" kind of picture...not for the technical aspects (which are not that great, trust me - I know the fence is in the way, thanks!)...but for the religious theme. I also knew it would be susceptible to the "does not meet the challenge" purists, as some comments indicate, because some find that prayer is not an action. Well, technically, it is... prayer can be used as a verb as well as a noun. I found it to be quite fitting of the challenge, and my campus principal and athletic director now have prints of this in their offices because to both of them, it shows the best teamwork that our guys can display. Thanks for all your comments and votes. I truly appreciate it! :o)

Believe me when I say this, as I have the UTMOST respect for kiwiness and his photography, but I am really shocked this did not get the blue instead... the shape, form, and depth of this one is just astounding. What a crime that you didn't get your 2nd ribbon... but that's just me bellyaching about it. It's a beautiful image! :o)
