This image lacks a clear focal point. There is too much for the eye to settle on and seems cluttered. The angle in which it is taken from is also a bit distracting; without the ability to use perspective tools it makes it seem slanted. I'd have taken some steps to the right to center up and not have such leaning lines.

This is a good concept but the image feels very cramped. I'd prefer to see more of the outside area around the cap...as it is, it feels very cut-off and crowded.

Good perspective and angle; I like the lighting and the expanse of the shot. The colors need a bit more pop and the entire image could stand some contrast adjustment. The lens flare is a bit more of a distraction than an addition to the drama of the shot. IMHO It looks more like spots on the lens due to moisture or humidity than anything. Good luck in the challenge.

Nice use of selective desat; interesting and appealing image. I'm sure you're getting hit with the DNMC votes. I would suggest not cropping out the foot if at all possible; it makes the image feel "amputated" if you pardon the pun.

Very noisy image...colors are a bit off on my monitor. The bottom of the shot is pretty confusing and jumbled. I might have cropped everything out of the bottom and left just the flag and flagpole.

You're probably suffering from some DNMC votes for the person in the shot. I like the angle and the concept; the model seems to be almost smiling, which is confusing given the title. I think some contrast boost would give the image a bit more drama as well.

This is kind of a confusing image, and were it not for the title, I'd be lost. I am guilty of not giving images ample viewing time before voting, so speaking from experience, it's difficult to vote on confusing ones in just a couple of seconds. The image itself seems to need some contrast and maybe a bit more saturation (it could be my crappy monitor), which might give it more "oomph."
