7 lives @ 7 past the hour...things that make you go hmmmm.

The crucifix certainly turned out to be a nice touch to add to the religious theme I had in mind.

This image needs a good minute of your time...only have 2.3 seconds you say?...well then, thanks for your 2.3 seconds.

Is this Madison Square Garden? Looks like he's brandishing a weopon. What a photographer must go through to get a picture! Great shot. (Sorry). 8

Nice journalistic approach, I think thats what this challenge is about Journalism. I like the border.

DNMC..."and the players and people have gone home"

Nice street feel.
B&W very appropriate here.
The levitra ad is distracting tho.

Everytime I look at it, I think that kid has a gun. Weird. This image doesn't meet the challenge in that there are still people there, but I like the fact that you have the time in the image (I'm gonna guess that it's 1:07AM because it makes me feel better). Boarder is cool, and black and white was a great choice.

DNMC - i see people. I also don't like the way you've bordered the image on the edges, and it's not straight.

Great PJ piece...love the immediacy as well as the tonal range. Hope you aren't slammed for DNMC. One of my favorites of the bunch.

Great candid. If the horizon was level, I would have voted another point or two.

Whats the game?
10/26/2006 12:05:46 PM
Hopefully, those viewing this will be familiar with Madison Square Garden. If not you're in for a minor bruising I'm afraid with the DNMC voters. It's an interesting street scene, and the kid (front left) is fun to figure out. :D Good luck in the challenge.

I'm betting that your score is suffering from having people in your image but it is easy to see that these people were not fans that attended the sporting event. This definitely conveys after the game to me and is nicely done. 7

Not being familar with wherever this was taken, there's nothing in this picture that indicates sports to me, although if this is outside a stadium, clearly there are some people who haven't gone home yet. I would have liked to see a bit more contrast, as the whole image looks washed out to me. It looks to me as if the whole image is canted down to the right a bit, which I find distracting.

DNMC people gone????? a 1 from me
10/25/2006 05:42:27 PM
Two things here I have to give you the benefit of the doubt on; 1. is this a sporting venue? 2. are these people players or spectators?

Assuming the image passes both these tests then it's not DNMC so I'll vote on that basis...

The lights behind the person in front make his arm appear to disappear and the whole image could do with a levelling up. I like the border as it works well with the B&W: 5
10/25/2006 04:25:09 PM
what happened to his arm?

Not being familiar with NYC, the sign "Pennsylvania Station" stands out, leading me to believe that this is taken at the train station rather than Maddison Square Garden. But as I said, what do I know?
10/25/2006 09:12:57 AM
I don't get how this is on theme
10/25/2006 01:27:46 AM
I like the BW dark and light contrast, but I don't see any sports in the picture.
