Mentoring -- Snapshot by Anonymousby GermaineComment: Part of the fun of the challenge is comparing the photos to the work of the photographers they're paying tribute to. I can't figure out who that would be in this case. Interesting enough creative concept. Focus feels a bit off. |

My girl and an old friendby sickdogComment: Part of the fun of the challenge is comparing the photos to the work of the photographers they're paying tribute to. I can't figure out who that would be in this case. As I look at the photo it is too dark for my taste and it's hard for me to see any deatils in the subject implied by the title. The angle is distracting. The composition feels off balance ... too heavy in the lower left corner. |

Negativismby outlandComment: Part of the fun of the challenge is comparing the photos to the work of the photographers they're paying tribute to. I can't figure out who that would be in this case. This feels like a collage of multiple images arranged in an attempt at the abstract ... but it doesn't quite fall together for me (so I guess that's a critique of the composition). |

One Canby clkingComment: It's vibrant ... I'll give you that. But it's been processed so heavily it is no longer a photo ... I suppose a bit like some of Warhol's work, which was probably your point. Good luck in the voting. |

Blue PCby dpattersonComment: Part of the fun of this challenge is comparing the photos to the work of other photographers. I can't figure out which photographer you are paying tribute to in your photo. Other than that, the focus feels too soft for the techno-mech genre, the composition feels too busy to let my eye rest anywhere except the black triangle in the upper left which isn't very interesting. |

men at workby arsenalComment: Sorry if this sounds negative, but IMO there are things that could be improved here. The photo is very dark, to dark for my taste. A broader range of light levels would be more interesting to me. Perhaps if I could see more of the photo's details, the tilted composition would make sense but as it is, it's mostly distracting. Finally, this is a Photographer Tribute challenge. I can't figure out who you're paying tribute to. |

Dark Knowledgeby mihailmilevComment: Sorry if this sounds negative but IMO there things that could be improved here. The photo is too dark for my taste. I find it difficult to find anything in sharp focus. The composition doesn't hold my interest. Lastly this is a Photographer Tribute challenge. I can't figure out who you are paying tribute to. |

Picasso Jr. (Picasso by Irving Penn)by gsalComment: Wonderful tribute photo in the style of Penn. I really like how you have "un-aged" Picasso and kept the style, composition, lighting, focus, and DOF of his Picasso photo. Well done ... possibly best of show. |
