I just noticed where this finished. Dang... I liked it, thought it was one of the better entries conceptually, and remarkably faithful to its source inspiration :-) Gave it a 7!

Germaine takes the "road less travelled by" again. It's a wonderful tribute, although yours is really a much better shot than the many celebrated works produced by your Inspiration. But I'll forgive you for sneaking some quality in there; at 160/188 you probably got away with it. Bravo!

I guess just not that many people "got" it - I still think this was a great interpretation of the challenge!

Nice saturation of shades and shadows. However, I think this is one of those images that will suffer from votes of being too "snap-shottish" as your title mentions.

Great composition. It's a shame the faces are barely discernable; you should have used fill flash, IMO, to bring out more detail in shadows.

How great is this. What feeling. The image really tells a story. My favorite part is the long shadow. Very nice shot.

Would have been better if there had been more light on their faces...

Yeah... anonymous is a great photographer...

Part of the fun of the challenge is comparing the photos to the work of the photographers they're paying tribute to. I can't figure out who that would be in this case. Interesting enough creative concept. Focus feels a bit off.

good composition, like the arrow, but what has this to do with the challenge?

Who's the tribute to? I love this pic although it looks a little fuzzy on the subjects but it has such a wonderful story. Pity about the tibute

Gotta give you credit for the sheer cojones of this one :-) Only problem is the horizon is TOO level for an anymous snaphsot jejeje™
