Great image, added to my favourites long ago. A great tribute, but just a wonderful photograph, with perfect tone and contrasts, and great use of noise to give it a touch of authenticity. Beautiful.

Wow. I can't believe I didn't mark this as a favorite when I first saw it. Must have been in a hurry. Still in love with this. It proves that you can completely ignore the 'rules of composition and lighting' and produce an amazingly wonderful emotive image. Maybe I love it because it breaks the rules - I'm not a rules gal anyway. Geez I love this image. Well done.

One of my all time favorite photos re "portraits" at DPC.....

I also studied Picasso re my art diploma, so the likeness is remarkable.....

I have added this image to my favorites as well.....

I also believe, this should have ribboned.....

Love the tonal qualities here. The almost "huh" look in the face is great. I like how the shadows really definie the facial features of this model. Great job. 6

You've re-created the lighting well and I like the adaptation of using a child (whose expression is marvelous!)

I really like this shot.
It's got to be a ten from me.
If there has been a sneaky 'real' professional shot put in this challenge then i would say that this is it.
I love it
Perfect.
Good luck

This is the finest tribute I've seen so far. Love the twist by using a young model. This photo is great on it's own as well. 10 :-)

Prpbably my favorite image in the challenge. You took into consideration not only the subject but its lighting and texture. At the same time, you played with it and made it your own. Excellent work. 10

I think the highlights are blown here which didn't seem to be his style. Still a great shot. 7

Great B&W portrait with perfect noise. Love the side of face in the dark and the outline of the nose and mouth.

Nicely posed like the original. The lighting is a tad harsh on the face. Maybe a slight brown tinge to it would look better. Not crazy about the texture on the wall. The composition is good. The eye is good.

Wonderful tribute photo in the style of Penn. I really like how you have "un-aged" Picasso and kept the style, composition, lighting, focus, and DOF of his Picasso photo. Well done ... possibly best of show.
