This feels like an HDR attempt and I recognize it's easy to overboard with it. In this case I think you've gone too far ... beyond believable improbability. That said, I really like the composition. It has an impressionistic feel to it which I like.

Probably not the best execution of all the photos in the challenge, but of all the entries in the challenge, this feels most like a portrait and you've clearly caught a player in his environment. I especially like the composition. The top 2/3 of the frame form a square bisected by the strong diagonal. Catching the reflection is perfect. The bottom 1/3 gives us the context. Perfect. Well done! Best of show!
