Watch your exposure. You over exposed I'd say by at least 1/2 stop, maybe even 2/3. Underexpose it next time to get the full detail in the highlights.

The photo is showing too much Magenta, you need a color shift in Photoshop. Did you use a polarizer?

This photo is a bit busy for me. I would have zoomed in and filled the frame with just the eagle, all the branches really take away from the photo, and paid extra attention to the exposure. You have no detail in both the shadows and highlights in the photo.

Also, I dont believe this photo really captures the theme of the challenge.

2 rules broken here...

1. Watch your horizon, it's going on an upward slant. Make sure to check for level next time.

2. The horizon is almost smack dab in the middle, and it really takes away from the image.

I would have shifted the camera to look more to the right and get more of the land, and perhaps zoomed in a bit, that would eliminate the half/half photo.
