Exquisite Gazeby librodoComment: Gee, I wonder whose exquisite portrait this could be? Hmm... great expression, composition, detail, color... I just don't know. If only there were some colored pencils in there, I might have a clue. Nothing to ciriticize, so it gets the usual 10. ;-) |

New York City Skylineby photom1946Comment: SOMEbody failed to put away all electronic devices! ;-)
Looks like you lost some detail in the window or exhaust at the top, but it's still an interesting view with good color for this early morning flight. |

Shadow Of Lightby gsalComment: LOL- you caught the face. Good observation! A tighter crop might direct more people to the "punch line." |

Earth Bulbby stare_at_the_sunComment: Hmm... now where have I seen this before? ;-)
The hand lacks detail and seems a little too blue for the bulb, but the illusion is effective and well-composed. Good job. |

Geléeby Dax-Comment: A close macro with breathtaking lighting like this could only come from Ursula or Dax. Either way, it's a 10. |

Eye for Colours by librodoComment: Two days ago, my wife and I were discussing the ribbon standings, and I pointed out that I might have an advantage because none of the current challenges were suited to portraiture. So not only did you prove me completely wrong, you did it with a well-deserved blue and a 7+ score. ROFL!
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go torture some kittens or something. ;-) |

chocolate by ursulaComment: Congrats on spreading your name all over the home page with another great shot! So Zoomdak has a beach, DrJOnes has a model and you have a... fertilizer plant? ;-)
Since the crop you chose focuses so much on the sky, I probably would have picked a title like, "The Cloud Factory," but "Chocolate" obviously worked, and what could be more appealing than chocolate? I probably would have used a subtle inline on that dark border, too. I gotta find SOMETHING to criticize, right? Message edited by author 2005-12-07 09:19:09. |

life after high school by ursulaComment: Wow! You weren't just talkin' trash in the Adulthood scores thread. You really WERE up there. I'm always amazed at people like you and JJ who can make something beautiful out of a scene that I'd probably drive right past. Congrats on the red- this should have scored higher (.01 higher). ;-P
Let me add to all the other people who said this would've been great for the Industrial challenge. You should have... um... oh. Nevermind. |
