Oh yeah!! Love your alignment and composition. The red of the car with the blues of the acidic layer. Nice one, Nick. I can always count on you. :)

I like the combination of the cracked layer and the soft of the fluff. :)

Wonderful. The harshness of the edges is probably a perfect description of her living conditions. Wonderful long shadow and use of negative space. Your tones are always so good. :)

FUN!!! I love the sense of movement from the carnival as it is suddenly stopped in hard caked mud. :)

I love her cheeks. It might be cool to erase the layer over her face. I hate it when people offer unsolicited advice during a side challenge, but it was just a thought.

The old song "oh give me a home where the buffalo roam; where the deer and the antelope play" immediately came into my head. This is such a perfect layering. You almost think that it's two silhouettes paying their respects, and then you see it's one dimensional cut outs. Kind of symbolic as our dimensions change when we go to the other side. NICE GOING. I look forward to your entries this month. I might even crank out a poem or two.

Welcome to the group, rog! This is an odd combo and it really works. I like the dry/wet juxtaposition between the layer and the dry adobe.

Your title is perfect. I love how the layer and the tv style vignette adds such dimension to a photo of a guy running! Looks like he's holding a giant condom in his left hand. ROFL

Old paper and cracked earth and cement make fabulous overlays don't they?? You'll be an old pro at this in no time. Looks like an old photo that was wadded up and then flattened back out. Maybe somebody got mad and threw someone's photo album out and he retrieved it. :)
