I am also quite surprised at how the overlays affect certain things. That's the best part of playing with this effect!!

A simple cracked concrete overlay did the job.. surprised me quite a bit because I did not expect what it did to the leaves.

Soft muted tones complement the soft plant fluff in the photo. The crackled overlay then gives the soft feel an added texture: a rough/course after touch. I find that this is a very interesting combination of giving us two touch sensations in the same image: Soft and rough/course.
