The idea is not at all wrong, but for starters the date tag is very distracting. I suggest you configure your camera so it won't show, as it really detracts from the picture; remember that with the Exif Data you can always know the date and time details without them necessary showing on your shot.
Other thing is contrast and sharpness, your shot lacks of these two aspects.
