The pinks just look awesome against the dark water. The unique vantage point gives this lots of interest and the focus and exposure are very good IMO. I wish it somehow wasn't quite as centered, but then again I'm not sure if changing that would make the angle less appealing. (?) Anyway...one of my favorites in your portfolio.

giraffes

It's too bad the technical side of this isn't just right, because the crossed necks like that is a neat shot! The sky is really bright against the giraffes being almost too dark I think. Hard to balance those out when you're shooting against the bright. It also appears fairly noisy to me, and the slanting background and bit of green are rather distracting (not like you could tell the giraffes where to stand! LOL) A fun shot.

I agree about the angle of the shot, for the purpose of putting the head against full sky. Other than that, this is truly a beautiful shot that I like very much. I disagree about the foreground being too busy...I like to see a little detail and some interest there myself. The mood of the shot is very solitary, even though we know of course that he's not there alone!
