...by kosmikkreeperComment: "My artistic thought: The model is far too beautiful for this theme. She looks more like snow white sleeping than death at the end of a hard day. Her hair is too perfect to show stress, as are her perfect nails (French Manicure?) newly polished hardwood floors, show a very neat and organized life."
that's why the shot is so perfect for this challenge, there are so many questions to answer. If it were a bum on the street who overdosed, you'd assume their life had been hard. This woman, however, poses many questions about her life. I love it. Fantastic. Message edited by author 2003-12-16 18:19:01. |

when you got noneby sergutComment: Some of these comments are ridiculous: he doesn't look dirty enough? Laughable.
This photo has alot of potential, just isn't there yet.
Also wondering after reading so many complaints about shots looking staged, is there anything wrong with staging a shot? If it werent' for staged shots we'd be missing out on alot of brilliant photography. THere is nothing in DPC rules about staging shots therefore it shouldn't be an issue when judgment time rolls around. Message edited by author 2003-12-16 13:32:44. |

Desolation of Two: Finding a Vein on the Trainby ImagineerComment: Edgy. Generally the points that most people dislike about photos on this site are what actually makes them GREAT photos. I'm wondering if alot of people who critique here actually have an eye for art at all. The fact that you can't see their faces is perfect, the sarcastic coloring is a great touch as well. If I had voted in time it would've gotten atleast an 8, maybe a 9 or 10. |

Fading Beautyby TerryGeeComment: I agree that it's reminiscent of a watercolor..personally, I find it very appealing to see the flowers match the background more obviously, sort of represents how nature fades into the background of our own lives at times. Very creative using a stocking over the lense, it never hurts to step outside the box. Too bad I'm too late to vote! |

Simple mealby ajacoubComment: I love this shot, especially the color and you can feel some anticipation as if someone or something is about to eat it. |

Business and Money symbol in this generation !by akulkarniComment: "interesting photo. very weak on the theme of money"
I can only assume that statement was from someone who could not admit that they just didn't get it. It is a brilliant piece and you should've placed much higher. For me, I thought the statement was obvious. |

Butterfly Fantasy by dsidwellComment: Like the signature in my profile quotes "There are no rules for good photographs, just good photographs" - Ansel Adams.
And this, is a great photograph. Whether the elements are real or not, the feeling it invokes most certainly is. |
