The elongated shadows are nice - I particularly like the angles of the dogs leaning in to the center and you as it were ('coming together' as John said which would be another nice title).

I think they are both great - the bw seems to have more contrast which I like. What happens if you do a levels adjustment on the color or have you already done that?
