Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
How I wonder what you are.
Up above the world so high,
Like a diamond in the sky.

When the blazing sun is gone,
When he nothing shines upon,
Then you show your little light,
Twinkle, twinkle, all the night.

Then the traveller in the dark,
Thanks you for your tiny spark,
He could not see which way to go,
If you did not twinkle so.

In the dark blue sky you keep,
And often through my curtains peep,
For you never shut your eye,
'Till the sun is in the sky.

As your bright and tiny spark,
Lights the traveller in the dark.
Though I know not what you are,
Twinkle, twinkle, little star.

Yep, truly an amateur at this composite thing! Even I can tell I have no idea what I'm doing :) Not expecting much from this challenge wise. I mainly did this for my son, as a bit of a surprise for him. He liked it, which is all that matters really :)

With 2 1/2 days left it's still going pretty good, thanks everyone. I may get to join the '7 + no ribbon' club if this score holds out!

With only a couple of hours to go it's still right up there!!! 7+ no ribbon - here I come :) This is the 3rd composite image I've ever attempted in my life - thank you so very much for your very generous scores and comments.

As an aside - my son is now really happy that he's 'beating' my daughter. :D

Mine was also for my son. Yours was my favourite 'photo' of the challenge. Right down to the bare-feet it was very special indeed and the PP was excellent. No idea what you are worried about :) 10.

Well in my opinion this should have ribboned. I like that it still looks like a photograph. But your score is nothing to sneeze at and an HM to go with :)

I like the simplicity of this. Visually very pretty. I'm not so sure I like the gradient of orange to blue being so pronounced and taking up so much of the starry sky though. I think it might be better scaled back a bit, or perhaps not there at all. Seems kind of like a sunset clashing with a night sky.

I really like this one, I just wish the stars came down a little further into the orange glow. I understand that they'd be harder to see as they approach the horizon, but to me, right now, it's too stark of a contrast between the part of the sky with stars and the part of the sky without them.

The composition is minimalistic and elegant in presentation. Love the hues of warm orange that fades to the cool blues of the night sky. A child looks up at the night sky and spots the brightest star. This captures the Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star rhyme perfectly. Very well done - one of a few handful of my top rated.
