Lovely pet portrait - light is maybe a bit strong. Not a fan of the wrinkled surface he's on. Love the direct gaze and alert pose. Gave it an eight but would not expect it to score much higher than your guess. 6.3

One of my two favorites in the challenge. I already like it for the scene, the mist, the depth. But the two figures make it. Great sense of scale. I hate the sensor spot - bet you do, too, by now LOL - and the sky looks blocky but I suppose that's a compression issue. It's still one of my top images and I'm staying with a ten. I think it will score 6.8 and would score higher without that spot. Picky, aren't we?

Great detail and expression. What I want is the traditional space in front of rather than behind him. I might have gone with a vertical crop to get that. Gave this an eight. I think it will do nicely for you. 6.8

Really needed a six and a half for this one but went with a seven. Love the detail and the combination of golden tones in the bokeh background and blue blacks in the bird. Kind of wish they were reversed but of course that is ridiculous. Not crazy about the branch. I do think it will do better than your guess. 6.1

I like this for its textural contrasts and interest and for the pop of the blue against the neutral browns and grays. Light is nice, too. Probably should have given it a six but went with a seven for some reason. I think your guess is quite a bit too low. Maybe 5.5
