 Well that was an interesting Challenge, I had originally called this 9 to evoke comments and had expected many more harsh ones than I received, there has never been a nine , ever, in over 2000 challenges. I found it interesting that this challenge ended up to be all about raising the number of comments which is what I had wanted to do. as far as extending the voting I know it lowered scores, for me at least, and maybe if they extended it long enough everybody would end up with the same score. Thank you everyone for your comments

Beautiful blues - given the darkness, I might like the composition better without the stump on the right. I am there, though, and it's cold. Gave this a nine. Guess it will get a 7

ha. you are out there either too early or too late! I'm freezing, and wish I had stayed home. 6 for making me feel. I suspect you won't get more than six because dpc'rs don't like the dark.

Nice panorama. The blue is so strong as to seem tinted. Probably a 6.1.

The stump being included doesn't help it much in my opinion. Without it I'd say six point two, but with I'd guess 5.7

This will end up high (not that high), I predict 6.32. Good use of the image size but some might want to see more of the foreground object. Love the color.

I think 9 is a bit high (LOL) but I think this could be a top image. It appears to be what DPC likes in general. Also high marks from me.

This was one of my 7's. The deep blues are lovely, but I just was not in love with the crop. I think the horizon right in the middle of the image, and then with the mountains quite small in comparison to the sky and the lake water - it just didn't work as am image that totally wowed me. Good, but not a landscape shot that gave me lots of emotion.

beautiful landscape. The trunk in the foreground is distracting - more emphasis on that or leave it. And I'm missing more clarity and/or texture on the mountains and woods - 6 from me and I predict 6.32

Beautiful, yes, and I love the tree trunk 'character' in the foreground. But I think nine is a bit optimistic. Eight from me, my prediction for your average score is 7.2202

I'm guessing you got the avg vote wrong, since no one has ever scored that high.

I'm guessing around 6.45 for this, pleasantly done just a little soft.

The power of suggestion? I love this image, one of my favorite in the challenge. I rated it a 9, but not sure the voters will go that high, there are always trolls to bring a score down. 7.5

I gavve this an 8, I would have given a 9 if the mountains could be brightened up or seen just a bit more, I know the mountains can be this blue I have seen it many times and I love it, I think the blueness took out the beauty of these moutains being too dark.

I am guessing a 5.5 for the avg DPC

Has there ever been a 9? Great location and panoramic feel. Seems like the range of color could be expanded - opening the shadows to bring the foreground to be more prominent. I also like the cool tone but it may be a bit too much color for my taste. 6.14

Now I am in a dilemma and can simply not guess the vote of the majority but I doubt that you'll get what you imagined

Pretty cool landscape I like the sky but the dead tree is a bit distracting.
Maybe it's the darkness of the image but to me it looks more morbid than dynamic. Sorry but I'm three points lower than your guess.

The title of your image won't help your score. Of course it's not a 9 and I'd say that from what I can see, you could get much more from this landscape. Composition is very unbalanced. In my opinion voters will reward this one more than it deserves, so 6.20

The feeling is "cold" and would score high in a specific challenge for that.
I do not believe it deserves a 9 as final score. A 6.1 would be great already

6 This a beautiful location, and the time of day is stirring, but I feel an overall flatness -- the mountains on the left, and the expanses of ice and water. The partial mountains bracketing the image do not at all add to the scene. I wanted to like this picture more.
