Whist by RKTComment: Love the tones, the back lighting, the raised head and alert pose. I would of course like to see the legs or else more foreground brush in that area so he doesn't seem cut off by your crop but rather by his position in the scene. The position in the frame seems awkward, too, with him looking more left but more space behind him. |

A Pause to Considerby MaryOComment: Nice shot and the curving line of the branch works well. I think I see some sensor spots and the background seems muddy or something. Still a nice capture of a hummer. |

the harborby bmartuchComment: So many tiny details to appreciate here. Love the low horizon and the flock of birds that you were able to retain in the crop. |

Wind Powerby RobskiComment: Sell chosen subject that you have composed nicely. The sky is perfect for the wind turbines, isn't it? |

We are so small by Alex_PetriniComment: Another scene that is perfectly gorgeous and works very well for the extreme crop but is just a bit too dark for me to be able to appreciate the layers of mountains. Back and forth on this - absolutely a top pick and I may yet come back to bump it to the 10. 9 for now |

Sitting Prettyby JudiComment: Very pretty bird, lovely dof, love the diagonals of the branches and to have them repeated by the tail is super. Nice one. 9 |

watchby TiberiusComment: Gotta love that glorious cloud with the crepuscular rays and the right half - almost 2/3 - of the image works well. Overall, no matter how I stand or tilt my monitor, this is just a bit too dark for me, especially on the left. 9 for a beautiful scene that works well in the crop |

After the Storm by vawendyComment: Love this one and especially the long handle on the umbrella and the blowing hair and of course the beautifully dramatic sky. Simple enough to work in this format and interesting enough to make it worth it. I would have been very tempted to crop some off the top - about as much as the amount of earth you have. Probably wouldn't have since I'd have been going for the max 800 high, but now seeing some that were cropped, I think it wouldn't have hurt at all. 10 and top two for me |

Father and sonby lei_73Comment: Love this one - the space works and the silhouettes are clean and interesting. I want to rotate ever so slightly to the right before I crop so I have the same narrow band of land on the left as on the right, but maybe that wasn't possible. I would also take out the pole (antenna?) on the left. Picky, picky - double entendre :) Gave this a 10 and it's one of my top picks, maybe my top pick :) |
