Beautiful photograph! I hope you manage to get your data back again. You may be able to access your data by putting the hard drive in some sort of external caddy if it is your boot up drive and you are unable to boot up the drive. There are lots of clever people on DPC that can advise you I am sure. Data recovery services are expensive from what I have read.

Oh no, these beasts are out on the moor and there are were no fences between them and me - just my tripod (which did save my bacon once when I got too close to a young calf that I hadn't realised was next to the mummy)
