T I M I Dby Art RoflmaoComment: It's a strong image with good soft light and tones and bold shapes, but weakened by the softness of the dog. |

Red Tail by cloudsmeComment: A good in-flight photo, if slightly out of focus on the subject, combined with an interesting view of the tree. Put the two together and it's very striking, colorful and meets the challenge well. |

blue eyesby tvsometimeComment: I'll have to take your word for it that they're blue. While grittiness is becoming of this style of photo, the noise visible here doesn't quite jive - maybe it's the way it's present in the sepia-tinted midtones as well as the tones at the dark end of what's shown here. Maybe it's the size of each grain particle. Either way, I think I would have ran noise reduction selectively on the leaves and introduced some grain starting in the darkest areas first, using blending modes and possibly masks.
I do like the composition, and the concept. |

Mama's Boyby instepsComment: A delightfully tension-filled scene full of obscurity and contrast. I like the old-fashioned hats and the shot glasses in the storefront of the aged building, in contrast to the modern cars outside. It's all presented in a sort of gritty, what's-unsaid-is-what-matters fashion, true to the street photography tradition. |

guardian angelby jagarComment: Well captured - fascinating the way he's hiding behind the banner, and the youth in his eyes and facial expression seem like he personifies the cartoon man in the banner. |

Mary, Mary, quite contraryby PennyStreetComment: I like it. A well done lo-fi still life, perfectly lit for this style, and the way it all obscures the lady exept for her eyes peeking over is charming. |

Mariahby pmichaudComment: Now that I've seen your description I get it - nicely done portrait of the wind. To be honest I gave it a 5, but had you included something about the wind being called Mariah in the title I would have sailed off on another thinking and feeling path and most likely appreciated it a lot more and scored it accordingly. |

My mother by lei_73Comment: Excellent. I see it to be a very strong illustration of sibling rivalry - something I'll have to deal with in a few months. |
