Slaughterhouse-Fiveby mrbig65Comment: Powerful and delicate picture in the same time and fitting the novel so well. There is a lot to think about when looking at this

Charlotte's Webby glad2badadComment: A lovely shot with droplets and web. We see versions of it often though. The background is particularly pretty and the roundness of the web is awe inspiring, therefore quite good for the novel.

Catch Her in the Ryeby IrvineJamesComment: Lovely tonality and lovely processing here. As to the subject of it, I am not sure of where to place this shot other than in a file with excellent family pics. Lovely memories.
You just alluded to the novel which is better than illustrating a title
I give it 6 for its qualities but unfortunately this photo is not telling me much |

Exit Music by Ian Rankinby MAKComment: Have to admit my total ignorance concerning this book. I just searched the title (quite a nice one) and yes, I did hear about inspector Rebus though. In the absence of any connection that i can make with the book, I just look at the image but I have little to appreciate about it, save for a lovely hue

Alice in Wonderlandby tvsometimeComment: The modern Alice in a world of technical wonders. Just got out from not such a great place where she got her potion that will probably make her teeny tiny ..
A good spoof I think but when it comes to marking it, I cannot go past 5 since I cannot appreciate this photo as much in itself, out of this context. |

Gone with the Windby mshonakComment: I cannot imagine how this novel inspired you to take this picture unless you found the title suitable for some kind of image of abandon (that again does not have one thing in common with the novel).
The photo is ambitious but I find a few details very distracting such as the white lighting (halo) on her right arm and dress. The tattoo is another unfortunate thing that does not have to do with you.
I am in 2 minds about score here. I do not like the staging, the lack of expression ...
I give it a 5 in this context - a lot of lesser shots get 5 for different reasons, but I try to look at each image without comparing to the entire pool |

Hold back the waterby whiterookComment: Is this a novel? I am totally ignorant about this title in literature.
I mind a lot the tilted horizon. The colors are nice but the picture does not bring enough interest, especially in this challenge
