I like the church, very nice but if that white spot towards the upper right corner is supposed to be the moon, it didn't really work well for this shot, the stop sign is also a bit distracting. If it was cropped tighter and the front sign wasn't in the shot (a different angle possibly?) this wouldhave score an 8 or 9 on technical alone, as is a 6

What a nice little church! I love the simplicity of it on a whole. The lighting is very dramatic, the shadows are really well defined. It's a bit to bright on the right, almost blown out a bit and the crop seems just off a tad to me, maybe a little tighter on the bottom? A 6

This is a very nice idea and the lighting and colors are very nice. But there is nothing that is really grabbing my attention in this shot, the half stones in the front are more distracting than a lead in. Perhaps if you had at least one of them in the shot completely? A 5

I left a comment on this but for some reason it didn't take! I like the steam on the faucet, very nice but the soft focus is just a tad too soft for my taste. Also the angle of the tub top is a bit disorienting to me. I started at a 6 but am going to a 7

In the thumbnail I though this might be an electric chair, EEK! LOL! But now I see it can be just as scary for some! A nice shot, well thought out and good lighting. the clarity is amazing but it could have been cropped just a tad tighter on the top to me. I started at a5 with first glance but am raising to an 8

This is a wonderful concept on the challenge and the shot is very well done. The officer looking out on the monument. The cropping is well done but the border on this shot really hurts it, too heavyfor the overall shot. The lighting is also a bit off, so sharp in the front and so dull in the back, almost too hazy. I started this with a 6 but am ending with a 7

This is a lovely shot, the black and white works very well for this, the angle is also well done, the way the headstones lead down through the shot is very well done. The overall shot seems a bit dull though, maybe just a touch more contrack to make it pop a little more? Just a touch. I started this at a 6 but am going to an 8

A very nice idea and I really like the lit cross on the left but the tower with the three lights on the right is very distracting. Maybe a different angle and/or different crop? Also there is a bit of noise in this shot and it too is distracting. A 5

My Sacred Place

A wonderful shot, very quiet and serene. I like the colors at first glance, the golden hue of the sky, the reflection on the water, the line of cloud in the sky all works so well, the bird certainly was a lucky break, I had started this at a 7 because it was so simple, too simple but coming back, I see and I think I understand the simplicity. Going to a 10 :)
