High Riseby cginoComment: I like the crop and the general approach. In addition to the sky though, as already mentioned, I'd suggest making the foreground grass softer and more natural like the original; the "contrasty" look as shown here makes the image look like too much is going on. |

Week 2: Woodland Shoreby NeilComment: Originally posted by GeneralE: So how long did that spotlight effect on the stump last, and how long did you have to wait for it? Beautiful naturally-occuring still life. |
It didn't last long. But the stump is right next to the dock at the camp/house we were staying at--just lucky!

girl with sariby yankoComment: Great shot. Congratulations on the great finish. I personally thought it would finish even higher though! |

Castawayby mpetersComment: An underrated shot! But if that's a naked woman on the rocks, perhaps that's why you ended up next to the 126th place shot? ;) Very nice feel to this, both perspective and composition. |

Week 03 by KenComment: I like the new contrast here. Adds to the abstract pattern. It might be cool to perspective corret this and then crop a bit tighter to play up the window pattern. |

Week 3: Sunset on the Bayby tinky2Comment: Wonderful colors. I like the contrasts of the orange and blue. The only thing you might try doing, in addition, is bring out a bit more of the foreground. It's pretty black, and that might be ok for this backlit scene, but if you could get it to "block" less there, it might be good. The pool there draws your eye, but it's pretty dark there. Might even get some colors from that. Or you might crop the bottom, just aabove the pool. Would also move your horizon even closer to the thirds division. |
